Wisconsin Secretary of State Doug La Follette complains about making it easier for differently-abled Wisconsinites to vote

The office of the Secretary of State of Wisconsin, currently held by Doug La Follette, doesn't have any significant authority over election administration in Wisconsin, although that didn't stop La Follette, a Democrat who is facing a strong primary challenge from Madison city council member and roller derby athlete Arvina Martin, from complaining about efforts in Arvina's hometown of Madison to make it easier for differently-abled people to vote:
You have to read Arvina's entire thread of tweets to understand how the voting machines that differently-abled voters in Madison can use work, but, in short, the machines allow voters whose disability makes it impossible to use a pen to fill out a traditional paper ballot to use a touch-screen voting machine to print out a paper ballot. The machines are not connected to the internet (in other words, it's impossible for the Russian government, another foreign government, or someone else with an internet connection, to hack into the machines via the internet), and there is a recountable paper trail.

I'm not from Wisconsin, but Doug La Follette's attempt to scare Wisconsin election officials into making it harder for differently-abled Wisconsinites to vote is a major reason why I endorse Arvina Martin for the Democratic nomination for Wisconsin Secretary of State, and I encourage Wisconsin voters to vote in the Democratic primary for Arvina next month.
